'Reddit' CTO Transfers Stake Worth Hundreds of Millions to Family Trust... Executive Purchases Additional $20 Million

On March 13, Sarah E. Farrell, an executive at U.S. online community company Reddit, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDDT), acquired roughly 10,000 shares of Class A common stock through an indirect holding structure at around $132 per share, investing approximately $1.39 million (about ₩2 billion). Following this transaction, her indirect holdings via partnerships rose to about 60,000 shares, bringing the total value of her holdings—including direct stakes—to an estimated $10.07 million (roughly ₩14 billion).

Earlier, on March 9, CTO Christopher Brian Slow exercised stock options and sold part of his shares, raising about $1.55 million (around ₩2 billion) in cash. The next day, he transferred approximately 290,000 shares into the Slow Family Trust, leaving him with a reported total holding of about 203,000 shares valued at $27.4 million (approximately ₩38 billion).

In its February 5 announcement of fourth-quarter 2025 results, Reddit reported revenue of $726 million—up 70% year-over-year—and net income of $252 million (each roughly ₩1 trillion and ₩350 billion, respectively). On the same day, the board approved a share repurchase program of up to $1 billion (about ₩1.4 trillion) for Class A stock, highlighting advertising and AI data licensing as key drivers of future growth.

Co-founder Steve Huffman serves as CEO, while former early developer Christopher Slow, as CTO, leads the company’s technology, search, and AI strategy.
