Comstock has recently partnered with NextEra Energy to develop up to 8 GW of gas-fired generation and energy storage facilities in West Haynesville, Texas, to power AI data centers—positioning itself as a thematic natural gas stock targeting data center power demand.

Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, Comstock Resources is an independent exploration and production company whose “pure gas” operations—dry natural gas produced from the Haynesville Shale in Louisiana and Texas—account for the majority of its revenues. Its largest shareholder is Jerry Jones, owner of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, who holds a majority stake and has driven the company’s growth through multiple large-scale investments since 2018, further bolstering its investment narrative.
