Nasdaq AI Infrastructure Stocks: Executives Sell Shares Worth Billions for Tax Payments After RSU Vesting

Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ: NBIS) disclosed in a March 31 filing (local time) that its Chief Technology Officer, Chief Infrastructure Officer, and Head of Legal automatically sold a portion of their Class A common shares to cover tax withholding on vested RSUs. CTO Danila Shtan sold approximately 13,000 shares at an average price of $98.78 each, converting about $1.33 million (roughly KRW 1.8 billion) into cash. Infrastructure Chief Andrey Korolenko sold around 27,000 shares for about $2.66 million (approximately KRW 3.6 billion), and Legal Head Tal Boaz also disposed of a small stake worth several hundred million won under the same arrangement. The company emphasized that these transactions were automatically executed under pre-set instructions for tax withholding, not discretionary sales by the executives.

AI Infrastructure

The previous day, Nebius announced plans to build a new AI factory in Lappeenranta, Finland, with up to 310 megawatts of capacity, slated to come online for customer use in 2027. The total investment is expected to exceed $10 billion (around KRW 13 trillion). In mid-March, the company further expanded its partnerships with major tech players when NVIDIA invested $2 billion (about KRW 2.7 trillion) to strengthen collaboration on AI data center infrastructure.

Headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Nebius Group is an AI infrastructure and cloud technology provider listed on NASDAQ. It offers data center and GPU-cluster-based cloud services to AI companies worldwide. The firm emerged in 2024 after Yandex N.V., the Dutch holding company of Russian search giant Yandex, sold its Russian assets and rebranded. Today, Nebius is rapidly expanding through large-scale AI data center investments across Europe, North America, and Israel.
