US Defense Drone Company Completes Acquisition of WorldView, Expanding into Stratospheric ISR
Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) announced on April 1 that it has completed its acquisition of World View Enterprises, a specialist in stratospheric intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and high-altitude remote sensing. This transaction positions Ondas as a multi-domain ISR platform provider—spanning the stratosphere, air, and ground—and broadens its presence in the defense and security markets.

Upon closing the deal, Ondas granted approximately 2.3 million restricted shares and about 1.75 million stock options to 26 newly hired employees as Nasdaq-compliant incentives. The options carry an exercise price of $9.02 and will vest quarterly through 2027, subject to continued service.
Earlier, Ondas pursued the acquisition of Mistral Inc.—a firm with decades of experience serving the U.S. Department of Defense and public safety sectors—via a stock-for-stock exchange valued at roughly $175 million (about KRW 230 billion). That move secured Ondas’s status as a prime defense contractor, enabling direct participation in major U.S. government contracts, including those with the U.S. Army and U.S. Special Operations Command. More recently, Ondas announced a series of multi-million-dollar acquisitions—totaling approximately KRW 550–600 billion—of the UK’s Rotron Aerospace, an Israeli defense subsidiary, an Indian heavy-equipment robotics platform company, and an aerospace defense-electronics firm. These steps further diversify its portfolio across NATO programs, heavy-equipment robotics, and aerospace defense electronics.
As a Nasdaq-listed company, Ondas delivers autonomous aircraft, ground robotics, counter-drone systems, and dedicated wireless-communication solutions. Through its Ondas Autonomous Systems and Ondas Networks divisions, it provides integrated ISR and private wireless networks for defense, homeland security, and rail and energy infrastructure sectors. Multi-domain ISR—linking stratospheric platforms with drones and ground unmanned systems—is a key focus in long-term U.S. Department of Defense and NATO programs, and the market is seeing rapid large-scale M&A and strategic technology partnerships.
