Global ETF Manager Hits 52-Week High... Market Cap Increased by 200 Billion in Just One Day

WisdomTree Inc. (WT), listed on the New York Stock Exchange, saw its share price jump 6.04% on April 14 to close at $17.37, touching a 52-week intraday high and climbing to about ₩23,000 per share (based on an exchange rate of ₩1,350 to the dollar). Its market capitalization swelled by roughly $2.46 billion (about ₩3.3 trillion), with $158 million (around ₩210 billion) added in a single day, and trading volume topped 3.53 million shares.

The previous day, the company reported $2.6 billion in net inflows for March, achieving an annualized organic growth rate of 19% in the first quarter. It has also accelerated its expansion by issuing $525 million in convertible bonds and acquiring UK asset manager Atlantic House.

Headquartered in New York, WisdomTree is a global asset manager specializing in ETFs and ETPs, overseeing approximately $99.5 billion (about ₩135 trillion) in assets as of early 2024, with particular strengths in smart-beta, fixed-income, and commodity ETFs.

Recently, it has been extending its digital asset platform business—launching blockchain-based tokenized assets and a 24/7 digital money-market fund—to transform itself from a traditional asset manager into a “digital financial innovator.”
