Quarterly Revenue Surpasses 1.5 Trillion Won: U.S. Fintech Aiming for Simultaneous Growth in Loans and Crypto
SoFi Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFI) reported in its Form 8-K for the first quarter of 2026 GAAP net revenue of $1.1 billion and net income of $167 million, marking its tenth consecutive profitable quarter. Loan originations reached $12.2 billion, while both member counts and product offerings hit all-time highs.
Adjusted net revenue rose 41% year-over-year, and adjusted EBITDA grew 62% to approximately $339.9 million. The company now targets roughly 30% growth in adjusted net revenue for the full year, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 30%–34%, and an adjusted net income margin of about 18%, driven by continued loan and financial-services expansion as well as the launches of its SoFiUSD stablecoin and “Big Business Banking” platform.
Kelly Q., Executive Vice President overseeing GBUL & SIPS, sold shares of common stock under a pre-established 10b5-1 plan, generating about $187,500 in proceeds, and still retains a significant equity stake.
In March, SoFi announced a partnership enabling SoFiUSD to serve as a settlement currency on Mastercard’s global payments network. In April, it officially launched Big Business Banking—an enterprise banking solution that lets corporate clients manage fiat currencies, SoFiUSD and cryptocurrencies on a single platform 24/7. Most recently, SoFi introduced real-time transfers via the Federal Reserve’s FedNow instant-payment system, further expanding its payments infrastructure and technology platform.
Headquartered in San Francisco, SoFi is a digital financial platform and online bank offering loans, deposits, investments and card services primarily through its mobile app. In the U.S., amid high interest rates and a tightening regulatory environment, competition among traditional banks, digital banks and fintech firms is intensifying. Digital lenders like SoFi are diversifying revenue by expanding into stablecoins, real-time payments and corporate banking solutions.
