AI Power Semiconductor Executive Sells Approximately 90 Billion Won in Shares Within a Month
Two senior executives at Monolithic Power Systems (MPWR), a supplier of data-center and automotive power semiconductors, executed pre-established Rule 10b5-1 trading plans to sell company shares between early April and early May. On April 6 and 8, the company’s Vice President and General Counsel liquidated approximately $20 million (roughly 30 billion KRW) of stock in split tranches, and on May 4 the Global Vice President of Sales & Marketing sold an additional $47.7 million (about 60 billion KRW) worth of shares. According to filings, both executives still retain substantial economic interests—totaling several hundred billion won—through direct, family and trust accounts.
Saria Tseng, Vice President and General Counsel, sold just over 7,000 shares on April 6 and about 8,000 shares on April 8 in multiple market transactions, raising approximately $20 million. After these sales, her remaining direct holdings are valued at about $200 million (around 200 billion KRW) based on the sale prices. Maurice Sciammas, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, disposed of 30,000 shares on May 4 at an average price of $1,589 per share, netting roughly $47.7 million, while maintaining significant exposure to the company’s stock through both direct and indirect positions.
In its first-quarter 2026 earnings released on April 30, Monolithic Power Systems reported revenue of $804 million, a 26% year-over-year increase that exceeded market expectations, and delivered earnings per share above consensus forecasts. On the same day, the company announced a favorable ruling in a patent-infringement lawsuit brought by Bel Power Solutions in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, with Bel Power ordered to pay $50,000 in legal costs.
Founded in 1997, Monolithic Power Systems is a U.S. fabless power semiconductor company that designs and sells power-management chips and modules for cloud data centers, telecommunications infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications.
