Datadog CTO Continues to Sell Shares Worth 10 Billion Won

Alexis Lecocq, Chief Technology Officer of U.S. cloud observability platform company Datadog, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG), sold tens of thousands of shares of Datadog common stock under a pre-established Rule 10b5-1 trading plan on April 22 and May 4–5, raising over $12 million in cash (approximately KRW 10 billion). According to the SEC filing, Lecocq first converted his Class B shares into Class A shares and then sold them in the open market. The April 22 transaction generated about $5.7 million (around KRW 7 billion), and the early-May sales brought in roughly $7 million (around KRW 9 billion).

During the same period, insider Amit Agarwal also converted Class B shares held in a family trust into Class A shares and sold a portion, securing about $3.2 million (around KRW 4 billion). The filing noted, however, that both Lecocq and Agarwal continue to hold hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Datadog equity, valued at several hundred billion won.

In its first-quarter 2026 earnings released on May 7, Datadog reported quarterly revenue exceeding $1 billion (approximately KRW 1.3 trillion) for the first time, a 32% year-over-year increase. The company raised its revenue guidance for both the second quarter and full year 2026, highlighting growing demand for its AI-powered observability and security platform. Following the announcement, Datadog’s share price climbed by a double-digit percentage, reflecting strong market reception.
