AI Infrastructure Semiconductor Executives Sell Shares Worth Hundreds of Millions

Three key executives at Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (MPWR)—including a sales and operations vice president and an outside director—sold a total of roughly 70,000 shares of the company’s common stock in the open market between May 4 and 6. Maurice Sciammas, Vice President of Sales, disposed of approximately 30,000 shares under a prearranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan, realizing about $47.7 million (roughly KRW 64 billion). Deming Xiao, Vice President of Global Operations, sold around 29,000 shares in separate market transactions, generating roughly $48 million (about KRW 65 billion). Outside Director Eugen J. Elmiger sold approximately 12,400 shares for about $19.7 million (approximately KRW 27 billion), sharply reducing his stake, though Sciammas and Xiao still retain substantial direct and indirect holdings.

In its April 30 release of first-quarter 2026 results, Monolithic Power Systems reported revenue of $804.2 million and net income of $193.23 million, then issued second-quarter revenue guidance of $890 million to $910 million. On the same day, the company prevailed in a patent-infringement lawsuit brought by Bel Power Solutions, with the court ordering the plaintiff to pay $50,000 in costs. Monolithic also highlighted power-semiconductor demand for AI data centers, automotive applications and communications infrastructure as key future growth drivers.

Founded in 1997, Monolithic Power Systems is a U.S. fabless power-semiconductor company that designs and sells analog and mixed-signal power-management chips for data centers, AI servers, automotive electronics, industrial equipment and telecom systems. Headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and operating globally, the company is widely considered a leading beneficiary of the recent surge in AI-infrastructure investment thanks to its high-performance power solutions.
