AI Power Semiconductor Executives Sell Millions in Company Shares

At AI power‐semiconductor specialist Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: MPWR), three executives each sold tens of thousands of shares in early May, generating total proceeds in excess of $100 million—roughly ₩1 trillion. On May 4, the EVP of Sales and Marketing sold approximately 30,000 shares under a 10b5-1 plan, raising about $47.7 million (around ₩600 billion). On May 6, the EVP of Global Operations sold some 29,000 shares in an open-market transaction, netting about $48 million (approximately ₩600 billion), and another insider sold roughly 12,000 shares the same day for about $19.7 million (around ₩200 billion). The two EVPs still retain significant economic interests through their remaining direct and indirect holdings, whereas the other insider’s direct stake has declined markedly.

In its April 30 release of first-quarter 2026 results, Monolithic reported revenue and earnings per share that topped Wall Street forecasts. Earlier in February, the company announced its full-year 2025 results and raised its quarterly cash dividend from $1.56 to $2.00 per share. Buoyed by strong AI data-center demand and signs of an improving semiconductor cycle, major brokerages and research firms have since issued reports raising price targets and upgrading Monolithic’s growth outlook.

Headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, Monolithic Power Systems is a fabless power-semiconductor firm that designs and supplies power-management ICs to improve energy efficiency in data-center servers, automotive systems, and industrial electronics. As a large-cap semiconductor stock listed on Nasdaq, its share performance has closely tracked high-growth markets such as AI servers and electric vehicles. Further insider and major-shareholder transactions will continue to be disclosed through U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
