Recently, activist fund Voss Capital urged Sempra to spin off Oncor, its Texas electricity transmission and distribution subsidiary, arguing that Oncor’s standalone value could reach as much as $78 billion (about KRW 105 trillion). This proposal has fueled expectations for a reassessment of Sempra’s hidden equity value.
