AI Observability Leader 'Datadog' Executives, Including Co-Founder, Sell Shares Worth 50 Billion Won in May

At AI observability platform provider Datadog, Inc. (Nasdaq: DDOG), CEO Olivier Pomel, CTO Alexis Lecoq and executive Amit Agarwal converted their Class B common shares into Class A common shares on May 11 and 18, then sold them on the open market under pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plans. On May 11, Pomel sold roughly 129,000 shares for about $25.5 million, while Agarwal disposed of some 19,000 shares for approximately $3.9 million. On May 18, Lecoq sold about 44,000 shares, generating around $9.1 million. In total, the three executives realized roughly $38.5 million (about KRW 50 billion) from these transactions. Pomel also simultaneously converted newly issued Class B shares—received through stock-option exercises—into Class A shares. After these sales and conversions, Pomel still holds approximately 8.97 million shares valued at around $1.8 billion (roughly KRW 2.5 trillion), and Lecoq retains about 6.7 million shares worth some $1.4 billion, leaving all three executives with substantial remaining stakes, the company’s filings show.
