Honeywell Spins Off Aerospace to Become a Pure Automation Company

Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE: HON) announced that its board of directors has approved the spin-off of its aerospace division, setting the record date as June 15, 2026, and the distribution date as June 29. Under the plan, shareholders of record will receive one share of newly formed Honeywell Aerospace common stock for every two shares of Honeywell common stock held. Following the spin-off, Honeywell shares will trade for a period under two tickers—HON with spin-off rights and HONIV without—after which the remaining company will carry out a 1-for-2 reverse stock split, halving both its issued and authorized shares and settling any fractional shares in cash.
