Nasdaq Bio Executives Realize Tens of Millions in Profits After Exercising Stock Options
Eric Banker, President of Roivant Sciences Ltd. (Nasdaq: ROIV) and CEO of Immunovant, and Mayukh Sukhatme, President of Roivant, realized tens of millions of dollars in gains after exercising stock options and selling a portion of their shares on the open market between June 24 and 26.
Banker exercised options on 200,000 common shares at a strike price of $3.85 and immediately sold them at around $33 per share, securing approximately $6.64 million in proceeds (about KRW 9 billion). Sukhatme exercised options on 1 million shares at the same strike price and sold them in tranches at roughly $34 per share, realizing about $30 million (around KRW 40 billion) in gains, according to a regulatory filing.
Following these transactions, Banker’s direct holdings declined from approximately 1.81 million shares to 1.61 million, while Sukhatme’s fell from about 19.18 million shares to 18.68 million. Both executives still retain equity and options totaling millions of shares, including stock options maturing in 2032.
In May, Roivant reported an unexpected net profit for its fourth fiscal quarter and disclosed cash holdings of roughly $4.3 billion (about KRW 5.6 trillion). The company also settled its dispute with Moderna with a one-time payment of $950 million (around KRW 1.2 trillion). (reddit.com)
